Fresco Cheese

Haloumi Cypriot Pizza

Serves: 4

100g Fresco Haloumi, drained and sliced ½ cm thick
1 pizza base
80g tomato paste
1 clove garlic, sliced fine
100g Fresco Mozzarella, grated
½ red onion
1 medium green capsicum
180g semi-dried tomatoes
½ teaspoon of dried oregano

15 minutes prep time
30 minutes cook time

  1. Preheat oven to 200oC.
  2. Cook Fresco Haloumi in a frying pan over medium heat, turning once, until golden brown on both sides.
  3. Place pizza base on baking tray. Spread the tomato paste on the base. Sprinkle oregano and garlic over base. Sprinkle Fresco Mozzarella evenly over base.
  4. Dice the Fresco Haloumi.
  5. Spread the onion, capsicum, semi-dried tomatoes and Fresco Haloumi evenly over the pizza.
  6. Bake pizza for 30 minutes. It is ready when the cheese is golden and the base is crispy.
